The end of the summer high school circuit and the nearing end of college fall ball brings forth our final draft rankings update of the calendar year. This summer has been an excellent adventure evaluating players and comparing one name to another. In total, 982 players already have reports written on the back-end for the 2027 Draft. Today, we're showcasing 300 of them.

We have updated our Top 200 overall prospects, our Top 200 high school prospects, and our Top 100 college prospects for the 2027 Draft. Alongside the ranking updates comes fresh new scouting reports for countless prospects, as well as new, refreshed player cards for every high school prospect, featuring their summer performance and production metrics. You can also find pitch shapes for almost every high school pitcher featured on our board.

We have a unique way of building our draft boards at Over-Slot, which we believe best mirrors the process of Major League scouting departments. Our process isn't just semantics or back-and-forth banter. We use modeling techniques that professional organizations use to differentiate players from one another. Whether it's age, athletic testing, summer performance track records, or OFP, at Over-Slot, we try to apply as many variables to players as we can to help paint as perfect a picture as is possible at this time of year.

But this isn't a process that's entirely subjective and based exclusively around numbers. The Over-Slot Podcast has had scouting executives on from 26 of the 30 organizations in professional baseball. Those guest spots have helped to cultivate relationships inside of the industry that we continue to lean on on a consistent basis. So while we are using numbers and analytics to help build our boards, some of our rankings are also built specifically off conversations we're having inside of the industry, too.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, our boards are built under the trust and direction of our very own eyes. We have a staff of nine evaluators on the team, and nearly every one of them went out and watched high school or college baseball this summer/fall. Of the 200 high school players featured on our rankings, we've seen 179 of them first hand. It's a pre-requisite for anyone looking to write or work at the site. You have to enjoy watching the game. You have to go to games. For as heavy as this site is built on data and analytics, it is our belief you cannot get the full scope of a player with seeing him live. Those live looks is how we continue to build out our highlight reel packages for players that continue to get added to player profiles by the day.

We hope you enjoy this newest iteration of our 2027 Draft Rankings. A lot of time, thought, and effort went into seeing, evaluating, and grading these players throughout the course of the summer. We believe we're in a relatively strong spot as the calendar turns to 2027.

We look forward to getting out and watching more ball in the months to come.
