This week, 88 high school prospects are playing ball under the scorching hot sun in Cary, North Carolina. 87 of those players are draft-eligible in 2027. By the end of the month-long, multiple-phase tryout, just 20 players will remain. The final 20-player roster will compete in the World Baseball Softball Confederation U-18 Pan American Championship in late October in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
