This week, 88 high school prospects are playing ball under the scorching Cary, North Carolina sun. 87 of them are draft-eligible in 2027. By the end of the month-long, multi-phase tryout, just 20 will remain. That final roster will represent the United States at the WBSC U-18 Pan American Championship in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in late October.
