Prep baseball season in Southern California is coming to a close, as is my high school baseball career. As a Los Angeles area resident, I’ve been exposed to some stellar competition. It’s the same region that’s produced the likes of Christian Yelich, Paul Skenes, and Bryce Rainer—an MVP, a Cy Young, and one of the top prospects in the sport right now.
Unfortunately, my 85 mph fastball and 5’10” frame didn’t get much attention from scouts and college coaches, but it’s given me the opportunity to compete against and get live, on-field looks at some of the best talent in the country.
