Right-handed hitters get a bad reputation. They're picked apart and labeled as limited simply due to their demographic. Why? The best right-handed hitters in the game make the sport tick. Aaron Judge, Junior Caminero, Willson Contreras... Mike Trout, Pete Alonso, Yandy Diaz -- some of the best sluggers in the sport mash from the right side. The game needs right-handed hitters. The game needs to take more chances on right-handed hitters. While in Long Beach, the future of the right-handed hitter was brought into question. Just a couple of days ago, Joe Doyle wrote a great article on the topic. He talked about both how 2027 looks to be a strong class for left-handed-hitting preps and how the handedness trend across the league is skewing toward the left-handed hitter more and more.
