Every year, the MLB Draft bores out a few fruitful prospects that shouldn't have fallen where they did. Players overlooked, underappreciated, or undervalued by the industry as a whole. Jonathan Long and Roc Riggio looks like massive steals from 2023. Mike Sirota and Brendan Tunink look like future studs as well.

So who from the 2025 Draft is already turning heads, and could we find these names on Top 100 lists next spring?

OF Ethan Frey, Houston Astros

It's hard to start this list with anyone but the Astros third round pick, Ethan Frey. The No 95 pick in the Draft, Frey walked away from considerable NIL money at LSU for a chance to start his professional career earlier than some expected. Considered an over-draft by many in the public space at the time of the selection, Frey has silenced those naysayers with outrageous production in his first 26 games.
