Joe Doyle

Joe Doyle comes with 10+ years experience writing inside the baseball industry. His focus on scouting and the MLB Draft began in 2018 with bylines at multiple publications along the way. He spent four years as the Director of MLB Draft Content at Prospects Live.

Doyle is Scout School certified and holds certifications from Rapsodo and Driveline for Pitch Design. He is also certified in the Foundations of Hitting from Driveline. In 2022 and 2023, Doyle was hired as an "Amateur Evaluations Analyst" with two separate MLB organizations focusing on the identification and evaluation of draft-eligible prospects through the use of Trackman, Yakkertech and Hawk-Eye data.

Doyle founded Over-Slot Baseball in December of 2022, originally exclusively as a podcast. He launched OverSlotBaseball.com in July of 2025.

Max Ellingsen

Ellingsen is a graduate of Montana State University and is currently working in the Baseball Data Science department for the University of Virginia baseball program. He's a strong coder in Python.

Ellingsen has bylines at three different baseball publications and specializes in college baseball.

Nate Rasmussen

Nate Rasmussen

Nate Rasmussen comes with over four years experience working in the baseball industry. He spent four years as the Head Baseball Coach at Washington Baseball Academy and was named the Pitching Coach at Bushnell University in September of 2025. Rasmussen, a former pitcher at Bushnell himself, uses a strong focus in data and analytics to identify and evaluate pitching prospects. He's well-versed in pitch data, pitch design and coding language, all of which aid his efforts in scouting.

Rasmussen also spent five months as the Director of Amateur Scouting at Prospects Live in 2025.

Oliver Boctor

Boctor is a sophomore at the University of Washington studying creative writing. He has been covering the baseball industry for three years, writing for multiple publications along the way.

Boctor embraces the grind of scouting. He places a heavy emphasis on showing up to games to get live looks at prospects for future drafts. He's attended Area Code Games on two occasions and takes pride in having seen many of the top prep prospects the West Coast can offer each draft cycle.

Boctor aspires to become a scout and/or front office analyst when he grades in 2027.

Quinn Riley

Quinn Riley

Riley is a freshman at Penn State University studying data science. He's close to three years experience working in the baseball industry to Over-Slot. Along the way, Riley has held roles in baseball analytics departments at Malvern Prep, UPenn Baseball, and Penn State Baseball. He is currently a Data and Scouting Manager for Penn State Baseball. He's proficient in predictive modeling and data visualizations.

Riley also has experience working in the Cape Cod League. In 2025, he worked as an Analytics Intern for the Brewster Whitecaps. Riley will be the Head of Analytics for the Cotuit Kettleers in 2026.
