With the return of the college season comes the introduction of a new series here at Over-Slot: Stock Watch. This will be a weekly series that recounts the most impressive draft-eligible hitters and pitchers of the week. It'll be deeper than an eye-popping box score or a highlight reel performance. Instead, we'll try to unpeel the onion.
The point of this series will be to highlight trends, players who do or show something new, and at times highlight standout data. Whether it’s a new pitch, an adjustment at the plate, or a mechanical swing change, the series will typically try to connect those changes with the loud performances or trends.
