UCLA Friday night ace Logan Reddemann has been a star hiding in plain sight. But without the big conference pedigree, it's taken longer than it should have.

After a nice freshman year in the weekend rotation for San Diego, Reddemann followed it up by posting a 2.29 ERA in 55 innings last season, one of the best marks among all returning starting pitchers. Looking for brighter lights and a bigger stage, he jumped into the portal, jugging pitching on the Cape for Orleans and receiving overtures from blueblood programs. John Savage and the UCLA Bruins came calling -- a dream for the kid from Palmdale, California. 

Reddemann is a starter through-and-through. He's long had the strong, athletic build, four-pitch mix, and tons of strikes scouts look for. The stuff was more middling with San Diego, more so utilizing his up-tempo delivery, deception and execution to get outs. The low-to-mid 90s …
