After an uninspiring sophomore year in Columbia, South Carolina, left-handed pitcher Jake McCoy is turning heads in the scouting community.

After a loud showing for Harwich, McCoy has transformed himself into potentially one of the best arms in the 2026 class. McCoy currently ranks as the fifth-best college arm on the Over-Slot Top College 200, and the top left-handed arm in the class.

McCoy has really elevated his draft stock since his freshman year. He had a 7.88 ERA with a 18.5 percent walk rate in 2024. He flashed some intriguing traits, up to 96 mph from the left side with the capacity to spin the baseball. But scattered strikes made it difficult to dream on.
