Drew Horn is one of the most electric draft-eligible arms that you might not know about. Let’s change that.
Horn comes from Smyrna, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville. He began his college baseball journey at Walters State Community College, one of the most highly regarded JUCOs in the country. Since 2020, Walters State has seen 13 alumni drafted, with Landon Knack being taken in the second round of the COVID draft and Ben Joyce selected in the 3rd round of 2022.
After redshirting his freshman year, Horn had a successful sophomore season pitching out of the bullpen. He got up to 96mph in 2024, striking out batters at a 34 percent rate. Horn then transferred to Middle Tennessee State University, his parents' alma mater, to continue his baseball career. He immediately slotted in as the Blue Raiders' Sunday starter, joining Trace Phillips and Chandler Alderman in a high-powered rotation.
