Getting the ball to the pull-side is a necessary skill to project hitting for power. Some hitters have enough raw juice to play it to all fields and let it carry over the fence the other way. But the amount of hitters with the strength to poke it out the other way consistently is few and far between.

Being unable to pull the ball can be for a couple reasons. Sometimes it’s an approach issue, other times a swing issue, and it’s often a combination of both. Some can get the ball in the air, but struggle to catch the all out front, and let it travel the other way as a result. Here are the hitters who have the strength and traits to tap into more power if they can hit the ball at the ideal angles.
