Oklahoma left-handed pitcher Cam Johnson is no stranger to the bright light. The No. 63 ranked prospect in the 2023 Draft at Over-Slot, Johnson was ranked inside of the Top 50 at other publications. He's long been considered a premium talent, and a unique one at that. 

It hasn't come easy for Johnson since high school. A 20th round selection by the Cardinals in 2023, Johnson elected to attend LSU and try and capitalize on what many believed to be a first-round future in 2026. That prognostication has not rung true. At least not yet.

As a freshman in Baton Rouge, Johnson earned plenty of opportunities. He threw 9 innings across 13 different games. 16 walks and 12 earned runs masked the fact he surrendered just five hits and struck out 12 batters.
