Brendan Brock has taken an unorthodox path to Norman, Oklahoma. In 2023, Brock went to Southwestern Illinois College, where he redshirted as a freshman. In 2024, it was a .398/.517/.825 slash line, good for a 1.342 OPS, with 15 home runs with 36 extra base hits.
He kept getting better.
As a second year player, Brock hit .462/.565/.870, for a 1.435 OPS. He added another 20 home runs and 44 extra base hits to the ledger, too. He was a do-it-all wunderkind for his team, leading his team in practically every offensive metric you can imagine, from home runs to HBPs to stolen bases.
