While maybe not as flashy as a sharp breaker or a triple-digit four-seam, a quality changeup could make or break a pitcher’s arsenal. Changeups come in all kinds of shapes and sizes. In the big leagues, the best include the high-spin “Airbender” from Devin Williams, the mid-90s bowling ball from Edward Cabrera, and even the sub-80 mph low stuff grade changeup from Joey Cantillo. Most of the time, it’s the uniqueness that derives success from an offering.
