Another Area Code Games in the books. Year four attending the event didn’t disappoint. The staff at Area Code Games does a phenomenal job running the event. It’s my favorite scouting trip of the year, and by a considerable margin. Hats off to those folks who helped make it happen.
Area Code Games (as well as East Coast Pro and USA Trials) helped cement some opinions as we work toward the back-half of the summer tournament and showcase circuit. This 2026 high school draft class was crowned potentially the best since 2023. While I see its upside, it has a ways to go before that sort of lofty claim can come to fruition.
The high school bats in this class are scuffling thus far. We won’t focus on those individuals who need to pick up the pace. Instead, let’s take a harder look at hitters who are leaving an impression …
